Jacob MacDonald Named AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Buffalo Sabres and AHL's Rochester Americans, are proud to announce that defenseman Jacob MacDonald is the AMI Graphics ECHL Plus Performer of the Month for December after leading the league with a plus-minus rating of +13.

MacDonald posted an even of better rating in 12 of his 13 games during the month highlighted by a +4 on December 12 in a 4-0 win against Norfolk and a +2 in four other games.

The Cornell University product has 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) and is a +12 in 33 games this season. His +12 rating leads all Jackals skaters and his 18 points are tied for the team-lead among defensemen. MacDonald's eight goals are tied for third among ECHL defensemen.

A native of Fernley, Nev., MacDonald made his professional debut with Elmira last season posting three points (one goal, two assists) in eight games.

In recognition of his accomplishment, AMI Graphics will present Jacob MacDonald with a personalized Plus Performer of the Month Banner during an on-ice ceremony at an upcoming Jackals' home game.
