Aces Trade Goaltender Steven Summerhays to Missouri

ANCHORAGE, ALASKA -The Alaska Aces have announced that goaltender Steven Summerhays has been traded to the Missouri Mavericks. The action completes the acquisition by the Aces of forward Scott Wamsganz in an earlier deal with Missouri.

The 25 year old Summerhays, a native of Anchorage, played in 14 games earlier this season for the Aces, winning 4 games, losing 7 with 1 tie. His goals against average was 3.74 with a save percentage at .869.

Aces President of Hockey Operations and Head Coach Rob Murray made the announcement Wednesday.

The Aces also announced that defenseman Daniel Johnston was placed on the 21 day IR with an upper body injury.

Alaska begins a 3-stop road trip to Rapid City, Colorado and Idaho Friday.

The Aces return home to face Ft. Wayne Wednesday, March 9.
