(Toledo, OH) A.J. Jenks had a goal and an assist to lead the Walleye to their seventh consecutive home win 4-3 Wednesday night at the Huntington Center. Toledo has an overall record of 30-13-2-3 and 17-5-0-1 at home.

Evan Rankin opened the scoring when he took a pass from Shane Berschbach at the 8:35 mark of the first period and tapped in his 8th goal of the season. Just one minute and second later A.J. Jenks (16th) beat Colorado goaltender Eric Levine with a perfect wrist shot for a 2-0 Walleye lead. The Eagles struck on the power play at 16:50 of the first period to close the gap to one.

The lone goal of the second period came at 2:15 when Zach Nastasiuk (7th) finished a pass from Josh Shalla for a 3-1 lead. Colorado continued its success on the power play with a goal at 1:40 of the third period. Dajon Mingo got credit with the game-winner when he sent the puck into the Colorado zone that went off of the glass and went right into the back of the net for his second goal of the year. Eagles goaltender Eric Levine had gone behind the net to stop the puck at 5:47 and couldn't recover as the puck went into the net.

Walleye Notes: Goaltender Jake Paterson turned aside 23 of the 26 shots he faced as his record improved to 9-8-1-1 on the season. The win ties the Walleye for consecutive home wins set last season from January 25 through March 1, 2015. The last home loss for the Walleye was 5-3 vs. Utah on January 23.
