Stampede Win on Pink Night

Boise, Idaho - The Stampede defeated the D-Fenders 115-108 on "Real Men Wear Pink" night at CenturyLink Arena. Jack Cooley knocked down all five free-throw attempts in the final 30 seconds to seal the victory.

Cooley made two free throws to break a 108 tie, after Los Angeles guard Jamaal Franklin was called for a flagrant foul. Idaho guard Shane Gibson followed with a long jumper to put Idaho up 112-108 with 11 seconds remaining. The D-Fenders failed to get a shot off in the final 1:51 of the game, giving Idaho the win.

The Stampede shot 54 percent from the field and outrebounded Los Angeles 46 to 32. Cooley recorded his fourth consecutive double-double, leading the Stampede with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Nick Wiggins added 18 points on eight-for-nine shooting. Joel Wright (19 points, 11 rebounds) and Shane Gibson (17 points) provided the spark off the bench for Coach Dean Cooper.

Los Angeles received a 29-point performance from both Jabari Brown and former Stampede guard Vander Blue. Jamaal Franklin added 17 points off the bench, including 10 made free throws.

Idaho is back in action tomorrow night when they host the Santa Cruz Warriors for the second "Real Men Wear Pink" night at 7 p.m.
