Bighorns Out-Shoot D-Fenders at Home

RENO, Nev., Feb. 05, 2015- The Bighorns defeated the Los Angeles D-Fenders Thursday night 131-130 at the Reno Events Center.

Cameron Ayers paced the Bighorns with 26 points, six rebounds, and three assists. Sim Bhullar scored his career high of 19 points adding 11 rebounds and five blocked shots. Melvin Johnson followed Bhullar closely with 19 points. Jordan Hamilton and Ra'Shad James had 18 points each. David Stockton totaled 11 assists.

Jabari Brown Led the D-Fenders with 31 points, four rebounds, and six assists. Vander Blue added 27 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists.

With eight points, Johnson led the Bighorns in the first quarter. Ayers tallied six points in the first while Stockton notched three assists.

Johnson led the Bighorns in the second quarter with nine points. Ayers netted eight points in the quarter while Hamilton totaled seven points, four rebounds and four assists.

The Bighorns went into the locker room at the half trailing the D-Fenders by one points (71-72).

Ayers went 5-8 from the field and 4-6 from behind the arc in the first half while Stockton totaled seven assists.

The Bighorns notched 34 points in the third. James had 10 points and two rebounds while Ayers had 8 points and two rebounds. Tajuan Porter totaled 4 rebounds.

Bhullar led the Bighorns in the fourth quarter with six points and four rebounds. Hamilton notched five points, six rebounds and two steals.

The Bighorns alternated the lead 17 times with the D-Fenders.

The Bighorns return home this weekend to take on the Oklahoma City Blue Saturday, Feb. 7 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 8 at 4 p.m. to face the Bakersfield Jam.
