Warren Drops 40 Points in Bakersfield's Win

BAKERSFIELD, CA - T.J. Warren scored 40 points (16/27 FGs) and grabbed eight rebounds in a 110-102 Bakersfield Jam (21-10) victory over the visiting Oklahoma City Blue (17-14).

BBakersfield started the game on a 9-0 run and finished the opening period with a 28-15 advantage. In the first quarter, the Jam converted on 50.0 percent of their shots and held the Blue to just 28.0 percent shooting. Momentum swung over to Oklahoma City in the second period as they outscored the Jam 27-17 and trimmed Bakersfield's lead to just three points at the break (45-42).

Both teams went back-and-forth in the third, keeping it a close game entering the final frame. With a 74-70 advantage to start the fourth, Bakersfield stretched their lead to as many as 11 points midway through the quarter and ultimately pulled away with the victory. Tyler Ennis had 20 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Joe Jackson nearly finished the night with a triple-double off the bench (17 points, 9 assists, 8 rebounds, 3 steals). Jerel McNeal posted 15 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals. Mac Koshwal notched a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds to go along with five steals.

Oklahoma City was led by Marquis Teague who posted 27 points, 10 assists and three blocks. Semaj Christon scored 24 points and Josh Huestis recorded a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Bakersfield will next travel to Reno for a match against the Bighorns on Sunday, February 8 at 4:00 p.m. PT.
