CEDAR PARK, TX - Bryce Cotton scored 26 points and San Antonio assignee Kyle Anderson earned his seventh double-double (17 points, 10 rebounds) helping the Austin Spurs top the Grand Rapids Drive in a 124-117 thriller Friday night at the SWBC Court at Cedar Park Center.
The Austin Spurs (20-9) had six players in double figure scoring on the night, including Erik Murphy (21 points, 9 rebounds), Orlando Johnson (18 points, 9 rebounds), Jarell Eddie (16 points), and Keith Wright (10 points, 4 rebounds).
The game stayed close throughout, with five lead changes and nine ties. Austin went into halftime with a 61-54 advantage, their lead would not be relinquished in the second half.
The Drive (15-13) was led by Willie Reed (33 points, 19 rebounds) and Adonis Thomas (29 points), who recorded Grand Rapids' first 10 points of the second half.
