
RHP Jones Activated By Kernels

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that RHP Tyler Jones has been activated from the 7-day disabled list and that RHP Josh Burris has been assigned to Extended Spring Training in Fort Myers, FL. Brad Steil, Director of Minor League Operations for the Twins, announced the move.
Jones went on the DL back on May 6th with a right flexor mass strain. In 10 relief apperances for the Kernels he has a 2-1 record, 3.21 ERA and four saves in 14 IP.
Burris made eight relief appearances for the Kernels with no record and a 10.80 ERA in 10 IP.
Jones will be active and available for tonight's 6:30 pm game at Beloit. With today's transactions, the Kernels roster is at the MWL maximum of 25 active players, with one player currently on the disabled list.
The Kernels wrap up a three game road trip tonight in Beloit and return to Perfect Game Field at Veterans Memorial Stadium on Saturday, May 25th for a six game home stand with games against Burlington and Clinton.
