Kelowna defeats Lethbridge

The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Lethbridge Hurricanes 7-1 on Saturday night at Prospera Place in Kelowna, extending its winning streak to four games and holding onto its five point lead atop the WHL BC Division.

Tyrell Goulbourne scored a career best four goals to lead the Rockets to the win while Myles Bell, Dylen McKinlay and Ryan Olsen also scored for the Rockets. Cody Fowlie added three assists.

Jackson Whistle earned the win in net, facing 26 shots. The Rockets fired 41 shots towards the Lethbridge nets, in improving to 46-15-3-1 on the season.

The Rockets now head into a Sunday tilt in Kamloops against the Blazers, who defeated Vancouver 4-2 on Saturday night. Kelowna leads the WHL BC Division by five points over Kamloops. Game time Sunday in Kamloops is 6 p.m.

It's the first of three games remaining this regular season between the Rockets and Blazers.

Kelowna returns home Wednesday when they host the Victoria Royals before a home and home with the Blazers next weekend, with a Saturday night tilt in Kelowna.
