Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Anchorage, Ala. - A one-goal game tilted in favor of the Alaska Aces this evening as the Las Vegas Wranglers fell 1-0 in their final regular-season contest against the team.

Wranglers goaltender Mitch O'Keefe and Aces goaltender Gerald Coleman held the first period scoreless as Las Vegas outshot Alaska 12-6. After 33:59 minutes of play, Aces defenseman Sean Curry tallied the first and last goal of the game for a 1-0 lead.

In the final minutes of the third, Wranglers forward Andrew Sarauer had a scoring chance on a shorthanded breakaway, but was taken off the play. Unable to score with O'Keefe pulled for the man advantage in the last minute of the game, the Aces collected the 1-0 win for Coleman's first shutout of the 2012-13 season. In the loss, O'Keefe stopped 24 of 25 shots from Alaska.

The Wranglers return home for a three-game stretch starting Friday, March 1, against the San Francisco Bulls. On Sunday, March 3, members of the team and Wranglers front office staff will shave their heads on the ice after the 2:05 p.m. game to benefit St. Baldrick's and the battle against childhood cancer.

Celebrating 10 seasons of Wranglers hockey this year, group events are available at all home games, including pre-game ice skating parties, private luxury suites, and rink-side catered party boxes. Groups of ten or more can sit together starting at $13 per ticket, and feature perks such as in-game group recognition and "buy one, get one free" Chuck-A-Puck vouchers. Take advantage of the best deals by calling the Wranglers front office at (702) 471-PUCK. The Wranglers play all 36 regular season home games at Orleans Arena, located next to the Orleans Hotel and Casino at 4500 W. Tropicana Ave.
