RENO, Nev. - Kila Ka'aihue's two home runs helped the River Cats past the Reno Aces by a score of 13-4 on Saturday night at Aces Ballpark.

The River Cats offense took advantage of Aces Ballpark from the outset, scoring three times in the first and third innings. Ka'aihue's first home run of the contest came in the first inning with one man on base and gave the Cats a three-run advantage. His second homer came two frames later, when his three-run shot in the third extended the Cats' lead to six.

River Cats starter Dan Straily held the Aces scoreless through four innings before giving up a run in the fifth and two in the sixth. He exited after six innings, having allowed seven hits and three runs with zero walks and four strikeouts. The River Cats gave Straily plenty of breathing room, scoring seven more times, ultimately winning 13-4.

The three runs and seven hits allowed by Straily were both season highs, and came against the highest-scoring offense in the Pacific Coast League. The Aces, who lead the league with 686 runs scored, were hitting .328 as a team at home entering the contest.

Ka'aihue finished 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBIs. Jermaine Mitchell went 4-for-5 with three runs, an RBI, a double and a walk and Josh Donaldson went 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBIs, two doubles and a walk.

The win is the fourth in a row for Sacramento. A victory on Sunday would tie the River Cats' longest winning-streak of the season.

Game two of the series begins Sunday at 1:05 p.m. at Aces Ballpark. River Cats RHP Bruce Billings (6-4, 3.86 ERA) will start opposite Aces LHP Tyler Skaggs (3-1, 2.28 ERA).

The River Cats return to Raley Field on Wednesday, August 1 at 7:05 p.m. to open an eight-game homestand against the Memphis Redbirds and Nashville Sounds, which will kick off Tennessee Week presented by Jack Daniel's.
