RENO, Nev.-Mike Jacobs hit a solo home run in the fifth inning Saturday night, but Sacramento scored the game's first seven runs and cruised to a 13-4 victory over Reno in the series opener at Aces Ballpark.

Sacramento scored three in the first and added three more in third, building a lead it wouldn't relinquish.

Aces starter Joe Martinez (10-7) took the loss, surrendering 10 runs on 12 hits over 5.1 innings. After his exit, Bryan Henry worked the final 3.2 innings for Reno, allowing three runs on five hits.

The win went to Sacramento starter Dan Straily (5-2), who scattered three runs on seven hits through six frames.

At the dish for Reno, Jacobs' fifth-inning homer put the Aces on the board for the first time. Konrad Schmidt singled twice, and Jake Elmore added two hits and two RBIs.

The series continues Sunday at Aces Ballpark. LHP Tyler Skaggs (3-1, 2.28 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while RHP Bruce Billings (6-4, 3.86 ERA) counters for Sacramento. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. PT, and it'll be another Renown Children's Hospital Family Funday.
