Pats Select Emil Sylvegard in Import Draft

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats have selected 19 year old forward Emil Sylvegard (sill-veh-guard) with their 32nd overall pick in the 2012 CHL Import Draft.

A native of Malmo, Sweden, Sylvegard already has a full season of CHL experience under his belt. He put up 32 points in 65 games with the QMJHL's Drummondville Voltigeurs last season.

Sylvegard brings size to the Pats' lineup standing 6'2" and weighing in at 202 pounds.

Regina Pats GM Chad Lang on the selection, "we think he has the potential in his second year now that he's comfortable with the league, comfortable with junior hockey in North America that he should be able to increase his point production. His experience and leadership will be a strong addition to our lineup."
