Manny Ramirez to Return to Albuquerque

May 15, 2012 - Pacific Coast League (PCL) Albuquerque Isotopes

Oakland A's outfielder/designated hitter Manny Ramirez will return to Albuquerque to make a Major League Rehabilitation appearance with the Sacramento River Cats when they play the Isotopes on Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20. Ramirez, who is working his way back from a 50-game suspension imposed by Major League Baseball, will play in 10 minor league games for the River Cats, the first two of which will be in Albuquerque, where he appeared in two games for the Isotopes in 2009 when he was a member of the Dodgers organization.

Media availability will consist solely of a brief, informal session 10 minutes prior to team stretch on Saturday, May 19. Location is to be determined. Please contact Isotopes Media Relations for details.

The Isotopes will return home Thursday for a 12-game homestand, the longest such stretch of the 2012 season that includes the Celebrity Softball Game, Bark in the Park, fireworks, a bobblehead giveaway, and a special Military Appreciation Memorial Day weekend. Tickets for any Isotopes game may be purchased at the Isotopes Park Box Office, at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone at 1-800-745-3000, or on-line at www.albuquerquebaseball.com or www.ticketmaster.com.
