MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis avoided another four-game sweep while blanking Colorado Springs with a 6-0 win Tuesday night at AutoZone Park.

Redbirds starter Shelby Miller dominated the Sky Sox through his six innings pitched, scattering three hits and two walks while fanning six for his second quality start and fourth win. Three Memphis relievers combined to blank the Sox through the last three innings, while allowing two hits and striking out one. Sky Sox starter Rob Scahill was solid through his first four innings, holding the 'Birds hitless while striking out five.

Bryan Anderson broke up the no-hit shutout bid in the fifth with a leadoff single to right field. Memphis rallied for six runs on five hits and an error during the inning, including a two-run double by Pete Kozma to put the 'Birds on the board and a three-run homer by Matt Adams to cap the rally. Scahill took the loss, allowing all six runs in his six innings pitched while striking out eight on the night.
