Dayton, Ohio-David Vidal drilled a two-run home run to left field as the Dayton Dragons came from behind to defeat the South Bend Silver Hawks 6-2 on Sunday afternoon. A crowd of 8,360 saw the Dragons win for the ninth time in the last 10 games and improve their second half record to 13-4.
The Dragons took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning when Yorman Rodriguez reached on an infield single, stole second, and scored on Vidal's single to left to make it 1-0.
South Bend battled back to get the lead in the fifth. Roberto Ortiz was hit by a pitch with one out and Jhoan Pimentel followed with a single. With two outs, Ender Inciarte doubled off the glove of Dayton left fielder Jaren Matthews to bring in both runners as South Bend jumped ahead 2-1.
In the Dayton sixth, Donald Lutz reached on an error with one out and Vidal followed by blasting a 3-2 pitch into the seats beyond the left field fence, his 10th homer of the year. Vidal's homer gave Dayton a 3-2 lead.
