Geoff Klein (2-for-4) drove home Ronny Gil (3-for-6) with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the 11th inning to propel the Bandits past Wisconsin 6-5 in front of 2,570 fans on Sunday at Modern Woodmen Park. The Bandits have now won four in a row and five of its last six.

The Bandits were trailing 5-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Jonathan Rodriguez (1-for-1) pinch-hit for Oscar Taveras (1-for-2, 1 RBI) and hit a single off the left field wall to score Colin Walsh (1-for-4, 2 R) and Kolten Wong (2-for-5, 2R) to tie the game at five. Both teams were held off the scoreboard in the ninth inning, forcing extra innings.

Bandit starter Boone Whiting delivered another great outing. He allowed just two hits over seven innings of work. The right-hander struck out four and walked only one in the game but took a no decision.

Cale Johnson allowed two runs on three hits while striking out one in one inning of relief, allowing Wisconsin to tie the game at five. Dean Kiekhefer (2-1) finished the game with three hitless innings to earn the win.

Jimmy Nelson started for Wisconsin and went five innings allowing three runs on seven hits while walking six batters. Eric Marzec (3-2) came into the game in the final frame and allowed one run on one hit while walking two to pick up the loss.

The Bandits return to action Monday, when they look to lock-in a series win the Timber Rattlers. The Bandits will send left-hander Anthony Ferrara (7-4, 3.21) to oppose Wisconsin lefty Del Howell (1-4, 5.13). First pitch is set for 7 p.m. at Modern Woodmen Park on a Klements Dollar Dog Monday.
