EVANSVILLE OTTERS GAME NOTES

Last game - The Traverse City Beach Bums defeated the Evansville Otters 5-0 last night at Historic Bosse Field. The visiting Beach Bums have now won both games of this series and will be playing for a possible sweep on the road later tonight.

New alignment - Due to injuries with outfielders Alex Foltz and Jamar Walton, the Evansville Otters had to try a different defense yesterday. Troy Frazier started in CF and Steve Caseres played the outfield for only the 2nd game of his career.

2nd go-around - Pitcher Kyle Eastham made his second start for the Evansville Otters last night. He recorded a quality start, allowing three runs in six innings pitched. He also struck out three Beach Bum batters in the Evansville loss.

Hello again - The last start made by Traverse City Beach Bum Nolan Shaffer came a week ago against Evansville when he allowed eight runs in 1 2/3 innings pitched. He rebounded by tossing six scoreless innings in a win last night.

We're going streaking - Outfielder Greg Alexander (18 for 38) has a nine game streak, the longest such stretch for any Evansville Otter hitter this season; Catcher Brett Chamberlain (6 for 20) also has a hitting streak, now at six straight games.
