
Capitals assign Kane to Hershey

HERSHEY - The 2009 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS announced today in conjunction with the Washington Capitals that left wing Boyd Kane has been assigned to HERSHEY. The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
Kane, who was named as an alternate captain for HERSHEY prior to the start of the 2009-10 season, skated in three games for Washington after being recalled last week. The Swift Current, SK native is expected to be available for the BEARS this Friday when the team travels to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to face the Penguins at Wachovia Arena.
The BEARS will play three games in as many nights starting Friday on the road against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05 p.m. HERSHEY will skate at Binghamton against the Senators Saturday at 7:05 p.m. before hosting the Manchester Monarchs Sunday night at GIANT Center.
