Manitoba Moose News Release
The Manitoba Moose, along with St. Vital Centre, are pleased to announce Moose Captain Mike Keane, Nolan Baumgartner, Cory Schneider, Guillaume Desbiens, Alexandre Bolduc and Mario Bliznak will all be on hand of St. Vital Centre this Sunday, October 11th to sign autographs and raise funds for "Keeping Abreast" in support of breast cancer awareness month.
The event will run from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at centre court.
Keane, Baumgartner, Schneider, Desbiens, Bolduc, and Bliznak are the featured players on the special collectible Manitoba Moose Pink Puck series which are being sold this month at all Moose games with proceeds going to "Keeping Abreast". Fans can purchase each puck for $10/puck or the whole series of pucks for $50/six pucks at St. Vital Centre.
Additionally, the Moose have also developed a special Manitoba Moose Pink Ribbon lapel pin featuring the traditional pink ribbon symbol along with a Moose logo which will be available at all Moose games in October and at St. Vital Centre on Sunday.
The club announced they are devoting their October games to breast cancer awareness and to raise money for that cause with a number of special giveaways and the sale of some new unique collectibles, such as specialty pucks, pins, and sticks at all October Moose games.
All proceeds from the sale of the pucks, the auction of game-used sticks from Schneider, Keane, and Baumgartner, as well as the pink Moose pins will go towards "Keeping Abreast", a local charity that started in late 2007 and devotes their time to fundraising for research, state-of-the-art medical equipment and education about breast cancer and the benefits of reconstructive surgery.
