Heat Re-Assign Three Players

Abbotsford BC - The Abbotsford HEAT, in conjunction with the Calgary Flames, announced today that three HEAT players have been re-assigned. Goaltende r David Shantz has been assigned to the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL, while forward JD Watt and defender Josh Meyers have been assigned to the Utah Grizzlies of the ECHL.

The HEAT will open their inaugural season in the American Hockey League with a pair of games this weekend versus the San Antonio Rampage. Puck drop for the first ever game, this Friday, October 9th, will be at 7:30 pm, while the game on Saturday will have the opening faceoff at 6 pm.
