Kelowna Rockets News Release
Kelowna, BC: The Kelowna Rockets have announced they have officially traded goaltender Torrie Jung to the Lethbridge Hurricanes for a sixth round Bantam draft pick in 2010.
If Jung succeeds and remains with the Hurricanes throughout this season and next, the deal would alter and the Rockets would receive a fifth round pick in 2010.
President/General Manager of the Kelowna Rockets Bruce Hamilton stated, "We worked hard to find Torrie a place to play. This looks like a good opportunity for him and we wish him the best of luck."
The Rockets acquired Jung in the summer of 2006 and he played as the back-up goaltender to Kristofer Westblom the past two seasons.
Last season Jung was 13-12 in 33 games, playing 1843 minutes and had a save percentage of 0.891.
On Saturday November 1, the Hurricanes will make their lone visit to Prospera Place.
