Red Deer Rebels News Release
RED DEER, AB - Brent Sutter, Owner/President of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today that Finning (Canada) has come on board as title sponsor of the video scoreboard at the ENMAX Centrium.
The new video scoreboard was installed just prior to the start of the 2008-09 Western Hockey League season. The score clock was purchased through the assistance of Aquila Productions in Edmonton. Aquila Productions is a leading North American sports media and entertainment company that served as a consultant in this project.
Finning (Canada) is a division of Finning International Inc., the world's largest Caterpillar equipment dealer. Finning sells, rents and provides customer support services for Caterpillar equipment and engines in Western Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Yukon and NWT), the U.K., and South America (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile and Uruguay).
Brent Sutter - "Finning (Canada) has had a long-standing presence in Central Alberta and their acquisition of Collicut has become an even greater force in the business community. Over the course of the next year, there will be more than 500 Central Albertans employed by Finning (Canada) in Red Deer. I applaud them for their decision to locate their Centre of Excellence in Red Deer. I truly believe this is a wonderful community to live and do business in. One of the great things about the business leaders in Red Deer and the surrounding area is their willingness to give back to the community and Finning Canada demonstrated that same commitment to Central Alberta."
"When we purchased the video scoreclock, we got the best technology available. It takes many people every game night to make this a high level production. Sponsorship is vital to make all this possible. The generosity from our partners at Finning (Canada) will allow us to give the fans in Central Alberta the best possible game night experience and I sincerely thank them for their involvement."
Scott Wakefield, Finning General Manager, Red Deer - "Sponsoring the scoreboard means supporting the Red Deer Rebels' first-class performance and their first-rate show. Finning is very proud to support the Red Deer community, both inside the arena and out."
