
McCue dealt to Tigers

Brandon, Manitoba -- The Western Hockey League's Brandon Wheat Kings have announced that 20-year old defenceman Matt McCue to the Medicine Hat Tigers in exchange for a sixth round pick in the 2009 Bantam Draft.
Today's move leaves the Wheat Kings with the league limit of three overage players - Andrew Clark, Matt Lowry and Chad Erb.
WHL clubs are permitted to carry a maximum of three overage players and today was the deadline for teams to get down to that number.
In nine games with the Wheat Kings this season, McCue had one goal, two points and 35 minutes in penalties.
The 6'5" 218 lb. Cochrane, Alberta product has played a total of 195 games during his 5-year WHL career and has ten goals and 40 points.
The Tigers will be McCue's fourth WHL club. In addition to the Wheat Kings, he has played in both Chilliwack and Spokane.
