Harrisburg, PA - INF Ronnie Belliard, who was transferred to Potomac after Sunday's game against Bowie, was activated by the Washington Nationals on Tuesday morning. C Pat Nichols was added Tuesday from Triple-A Columbus.Belliard, 33, went 0-for-12 for the Senators and 0-for-3 with Potomac during his rehab assignment. He had been on the Nationals' Disabled List since May 16th with a strained left calf muscle.
Nichols, 23, makes his fourth appearance in Harrisburg this year. In six games with the Senators, he has gone 1-for-10 at the plate. He has been shuffled between the rosters of Columbus, Harrisburg, Vermont and extended Spring Training this year.
The moves leave Harrisburg with 23 active players. Eastern League rules permit 24 active players.
