Worcester Sharks News Release

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks General Manager Wayne Thomas announced today that the club has loaned defenseman Tom Walsh to their ECHL affiliate, Fresno Falcons.

Walsh was recalled from Fresno on November 27 and appeared in one game, but did not register a point. Walsh began the season in Worcester and recorded one point in three games before being reassigned to the Falcons on October 18.

In 15 games for the Falcons, Walsh tallied five points (1+4=5) in that span. The 23-year old Arlington, Massachusetts native scored his only goal on the power play and owned a plus-two player rating.

Tonight, Team Teal will host the Manchester Monarchs on "Charter Night" with SpongeBob SquarePants at the DCU Center. The first 3,000 fans at the game will receive a team photo with a post-game autograph session with the whole team.

On Sunday, the Sharks will host their inaugural "Hats and Mittens Holiday Skate with the Sharks." Fans are encouraged to come to the Buffone Arena on Lake Ave. in Worcester from 4-6 p.m. The whole team will be skating with the fans, taking photos, and signing autographs. Bring Hats and/or Mittens and admission is free. Proceeds of the Hats and Mittens drive will benefit Community Healthlink.
