Nashville Sounds News Release

The Nashville Sounds return to Greer Stadium on Monday to kick-off an eight-game homestand with the Albuquerque Isotopes (AAA-Marlins) and division-rival Iowa Cubs (AAA-Cubs).

Sounds fans can look forward to more than just great baseball over the eight-day span. A number of promotions will provide fans with fireworks, fun, and great giveaways.

The homestand kicks off Monday night at 7 p.m. with the always-popular Dollar Dog Night. Fans can enjoy great food at a great price. It's also Pepperidge Farm Monday, where fans receive one complimentary ticket when they present two empty Pepperidge Farm bakery buns or rolls packages at the Sounds ticket office. Sounds fans can also receive a free ticket for Piggly Wiggly Monday, by handing in a receipt from any Piggly Wiggly store.

Tuesday night's 7 p.m. game features a special promotion for American General customers. American General has bought out the stadium and will distribute tickets to their customers at their various Middle Tennessee locations. Fans also have the option to upgrade their general admission vouchers for better seating at the Greer Stadium box office.

Leave your tents at home for Wednesday's 12 p.m. game. The Sounds host a special Day Camp Day, where day camp groups have the opportunity to receive an $8 ticket special. Special soft drink and hot dog deals will be available to all campers in attendance.

Thursday night's 7 p.m. game wraps-up the series with the Isotopes, but the promotions are just beginning. GameZnFlix will be on hand for the matchup to promote their new online game and movie rental service. Sounds fans will be treated to one free month to try out their service. Movie buffs can also put their knowledge to the test with a Movie Trivia contest.

Thursday will also feature Tennessee State Park Night. Rangers will be in the concourse giving fans a chance to visit with a variety of animals. Thirsty Thursday rounds out the promotion packed night with $1 draft beverages until the end of the 5th inning.

Friday night's 7p.m. game marks the start of the four-game series with the division-rival Iowa Cubs and the continuation of one of the Sounds' most popular promotions. Purity Faith Night returns to Greer for a night of fun, faith, and fireworks.

Youth groups, singles groups, Sunday school classes, or any church-related group can enjoy the fun and fellowship of Purity Faith Night. For just $10, fans will be treated to a picnic two hours before the game, a concert from hit Christian recording artist Steve Garrett, and a post-game fireworks extravaganza. Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber from the hit show Veggie Tales will throw out the first pitch and will be available for pictures and autographs before and during the game. The first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles will receive a baseball in the likeness of Bob the Tomato.

Several area Little League teams will be recognized over public address at Saturday's game as well. Stick around after the game for the Shoney's fireworks extravaganza.

What better way to spend Father's Day than an evening at the park enjoying America's pastime? Bring Dad to Greer Stadium for Sunday's 6 p.m. game for an evening of family fun with Harris Teeter Family Night. Buy one ticket, get one free by showing your Harris Teeter VIC Card at the ticket office. Members of the Nashville Sounds Kids Club will also receive free admission by presenting their membership card at the Greer Stadium box office.

Monday night is your last chance to catch the Sounds at home until June 30th. Monday's 7 p.m. game will feature fan favorites like Dollar Dog Night, Pepperidge Farm Monday, and Piggly Wiggly Monday.

Following the eight-game homestand, the Sounds head West to take on the Albuquerque Isotopes and the Oklahoma RedHawks in consecutive four-game series. The Sounds next homestand begins June 30 against cross-state rival Memphis.

Individual and season tickets, as well as group packages, are currently on sale. Call (615) 242-4371 ext. 2 or visit the Sounds' website at www.nashvillesounds.com to order or for more information.
