Metairie, LA - The New Orleans Zephyrs open an eight-game homestand by hosting the Nashville Sounds on Saturday at 6 p.m.
The Zephyrs have used stingy starting pitching to win four of the first seven games during their first road trip of the season. Z's starters have posted a 2.21 ERA on the trip, including five innings of two-hit, shutout ball by left-hander Pat Misch in his season debut yesterday, a 9-2 win over the Iowa Cubs. Justin Nicolino, the reigning Marlins Minor League Pitcher of the Year, owns a 1.08 ERA and will oppose former American League Cy Young Award winner Barry Zito in Saturday's series opener against Nashville.
The pitching probables for the series:

The first 1,000 fans will receive a T-shirt, compliments of The UPS Store, and all fans in attendance can follow along with the action on the field by playing Baseball Bingo for a chance to win prizes from Treasure Chest Casino.
Sunday's 1 p.m. first pitch is Family Day, with inflatables on the playground, $5 admission for children and postgame running the bases on the field. Plus, the big top comes to Zephyr Field for Circus Day, with clowns, face painting and a clown nose giveaway for the first 1,000 fans. Ringling Bros. will also be giving away free tickets to their June 18 performance at Smoothie King Center to 400 lucky fans.
Fans ages 60 and up receive $5 admission for Monday's 6 p.m. contest, and the series concludes on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with a 2-for-1 ticket promotion.
