Game Keys - The Marty Scott era as the Z's skipper started off well, as the Zephyrs scored four runs in the first and added seven more in the fourth in a 11-3 victory at Principal Park in Iowa. Raul Gonzalez and John Rodriguez each drove home three runs in the Zephyrs offensive outburst. The seven run fourth inning was the most runs scored in a inning this season for the Zephyrs. New Orleans starter Nelson Figueroa struck out the first four hitters he faced and finished with 9 K's in six innings improving to 3-1 on the season. Iowa starter Justin Berg allowed 10 runs in four innings of work and took the loss for the Cubs falling to 1-4 on the season. Everyone of the Z's in the starting line up scored a run as the Zephyrs offense pounded out 12 hits. The Zephyrs improved to 4-2 on the road trip. Game Notes: New Orleans lost 17 of its first 25 road games this season, but has won six of their last eight. The Z's have out-hit their opponent in six consecutive games and have won four of the six contests. 1b Michel Abreu was hit by a pitch in the first inning, he exited in the second inning with a left elbow contusion and is day to day.
Coming Up: The Zephyrs continue the nine game road trip on Wednesday in Des Moines, Iowa. New Orleans will send RH Tony Armas to start against RH Kevin Hart at 7:05. Radio: AM 690 WIST.
