Metairie, LA - The Zephyrs fell for the second-straight time to the Omaha Royals on Wednesday, 4-3.
Relief pitcher Chris George (6-4) got the win for Omaha after throwing 6.2 innings in which he gave up eight hits but only one run. George also struck out five batters.
The Zephyrs were up 2-0, working on a no-hitter, when the Royals broke out with all four of their funs in the seventh inning. Designated hitter Calvin Pickering hit a two-run homer to tie up the game, and outfielder Cory Aldridge drove in the other two runs.
For the Zephyrs, first baseman Rick Short kept his hit streak alive at 16 games, going 2-3 with two RBI in the game.

With the Royals out to a 2-0 lead in the series, the teams will play again on Thursday at 7:05 PM CT.
