EL SEGUNDO - The Golden State Warriors have signed South Bay Lakers guard Zach Norvell Jr. to a 10-day contract, it was announced today.
In 29 games (17 starts) with South Bay this season, Norvell Jr. averaged 15.2 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game while shooting 39.6 percent from three-point range. He scored in double figures in 21 games, including 10 games with 20+ and a career-high 31 points once. In his last 10 games, the rookie guard averaged 20.3 points (.458 FG%, .452 3FG%), 7.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.3 steals in 36.9 minutes per game.
The call-up marks the third of the year for South Bay and the 36th in team history.
