WHITE PLAINS, NY - In a historic feud at the home of the Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, the Knicks and Canton Charge drew three times before a 124-120 line stamped the third overtime and granted the Charge with the victory Saturday evening at Westchester County Center.
Today's triple-overtime battle at the County Center marked a first for the franchise on its homecourt. The only other time Westchester played as many extra periods came on February 28, 2019 at Greensboro which resulted in a 122-116 setback.
Ignas Brazdeikis posted 32 points on 47.4-percent which included three triples on 42.9-percent. The New York Knicks assignee sank all nine of his tries from the charity stripe. Seven boards, seven assists and three steals helped round out his stat line. Ivan Rabb recorded his seventh-consecutive double-double scoring 23 points and a game-high 15 rebounds. Two-Way player, Kadeem Allen registered 22 points. JJ Moore contributed 14 points as a reserve.
For the Charge, Levi Randolph tallied 47 points on 75-percent, to go along with nine rebounds and four assists. JP Macura and Malik Newman both added 15 points and each swished three triples.
The game endured 10 lead changes and 12 ties. While the Knicks (16-18) owned the Charge (21-12) by as many as 11 points, Canton credited a lead as large seven.
The Knicks' final opponent prior to the All-Star Break is the Grand Rapids Drive. The two will square off Tuesday, February 11.
