Published on July 2, 2005 under Eastern League (EL1)
Harrisburg Senators News Release
The Harrisburg Senators announced today that Washington Nationals' pitcher Zach Day joins the roster on a major league rehab assignment. Day is scheduled to make at least two starts, including tonight, for the Senators as he recovers from a broken right arm.
Day will not take a roster spot on the Senators roster as major league players, on rehabilitation assignments, do not count against minor league roster numbers.
Day appeared in 12 games with the Nationals this season and has a 1-2 record with a 6.75 ERA. Day went on the Major League Disabled List on May 31st.
The Senators roster remains at 22 active players, one below the maximum allowed by the Eastern League.
