PRINCE GEORGE - Have an opening weekend, Zac Funk!
The Cougars forward scored three goals and four assists in two games this past weekend - to earn the WHL's Player of the Week honour.
The 20-year-old tallied three goals and two assists on home opening night, which was Funk's first WHL hat-trick, en route to a 9-0 victory over the Tri-City Americans. The following night, the Coldstream, BC native added two helpers. After the WHL's opening weekend, Funk leads all WHL skaters in points with seven (7).
Funk and the Cougars return to action on Friday night in Victoria when they take on the Royals at 7:00 p.m.
