New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

BOWIE, MD - Cavan Biggio and Harold Ramirez both homered and Bo Bichette extended his hitting streak to a season-high 12 games on Wednesday night, but it wasn't enough in a 13-6 New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays) loss at the hands of the Bowie Baysox(Orioles). Despite the defeat, the 'Cats are still two games ahead of Trenton (Yankees) for first place in the Eastern Division. New Hampshire hasn't made the playoffs since 2011.

Biggio's blast came in the fifth and Ramirez's in the seventh, long after the Baysox had taken a commanding lead with a four-run first.

New Hampshire got two runs back in the second, but Bowie answered with three in the bottom of the inning and never looked back. They would outscore the Fisher Cats 6-4 over the final six innings en route to a 13-6 win.

Notable performances include two hits from Bichette, Biggio, Ramirez and Eduard Pinto. All nine starters reached base and eight notched a knock.

The series concludes Thursday morning at Prince George's Stadium. RHP Hector Perez of New Hampshire will be opposed by Bowie's Dean Kremer. Coverage begins at 10:45 a.m. with the Fisher Cats Pregame Show and continues with first pitch at 11:05 a.m. on the WGIR Fisher Cats Radio Network.

The next home game will be Tuesday, August 14 when New Hampshire will play host to Altoona (Pittsburgh Pirates Double-A). For tickets and information, visit nhfishercats.com or call (603) 641-2005.
