MIDDLE GAME ON WEDNESDAY: The Portland Sea Dogs and Erie SeaWolves (Tigers affiliate) play the second game of a three-game set on Wednesday night at UPMC Park...Portland is 3-4 during a 12-game stretch against the Western Division...Last week, the 'Dogs went 3-3 against Erie and Richmond at Hadlock Field...Tonight, lefty Kyle Hart makes his 20th start of the season and his second straight against Beau Burrows.
ERIE WITH A BIG SIXTH: Jake Rogers delivered a game-winning three-run homer during a four-sixth inning, leading the SeaWolves to a 5-3 win in the series opener...Portland took a 3-1 lead with two runs in the fifth on RBIs from Danny Mars and Jeremy Rivera...Tate Matheny delivered an RBI single in the sixth...Kurt Spomer (3-0) worked a scoreless frame to earn the win...Matt Kent (7-8) took the loss, allowing five runs over 5.1 innings on 10 hits.
