JOLIET, Ill. - Despite holding three leads in the ballgame, the Florence Y'alls fell in extra innings on a walk-off sacrifice fly to the Joliet Slammers on Monday afternoon at DuPage Medical Group Field.

The Y'alls got ahead in the first inning as they did in every game of the four-game series, this time with a pair of runs. The Slammers would answer quickly back with three runs in the bottom of the second inning.

Center fielder Connor Crane tied things up in the top of the fourth with a bloop single, one of his two hits on the day out of the nine spot. In the top of the fifth, third baseman Trevor Craport hit a majestic solo home run with two outs in the inning, giving Florence a 4-3 lead.

After Joliet answered to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth, designated hitter Jose Brizuela got the lead right back with a sacrifice fly to make it 5-4. Joliet would tie the ballgame in the bottom of the seventh. Each team went scoreless until the bottom of the 10th inning, when Carson Maxwell scored on a walk-off sacrifice fly from Dylan Hardy.

Florence and Joliet split the four-game series and the Y'alls fall to 4-3 on the road trip.

With the loss and Evansville's extra-inning loss to Schaumburg, Florence remains 1.5 games back in the Frontier League West Division. The Y'alls open up the final series of a 10-game road trip with the Southern Illinois Miners on Tuesday night at 7:05 CT in Marion, Illinois.
