THE LEAD OFF: West Virginia lost the rubber game to the Hagerstown Suns 5-4 on Sunday afternoon at Municipal Stadium. The Power gave starter Austin Coley a 2-0 lead in the second inning on a Chase Simpson RBI triple and an Elvis Escobar sacrifice fly. Coley labored through the second inning by surrendering two runs on three hits and he gave up two more runs in the fourth. The Power tied the game in the fifth on an RBI single by Kawika Emsley-Pai and a wild pitch brought home Elvis Escobar. Coley was pulled in the sixth for Nick Neumann with a runner on second who scored and the Power tallied two hits in the final three innings of the game to drop the series three games to two.

TOUGH TASK AHEAD: Tonight marks the first meeting between the Power and the Crawdads in 2015. Last season, the Power fell the Hickory in nine of the ten games played. The Texas Rangers' affiliate are 26-9 this year and hold the best record in the South Atlantic League. The two teams will meet again in the final three games of the first half at Appalachian Power Park. Hickory leads the all-time series with a 52-50 record.

ROAD WOES: West Virginia is 7-10 when playing away from Appalachian Power Park this season. Of all the teams who have a winning record in the South Atlantic League, the Power are the only team to not have a winning record on the road. When playing on the road, the Power are hitting .257 and the pitching staff has a 4.17 ERA. At home, the Power are hitting .262 and the staff ERA sits at 2.91.

CAN'T REPLACE THIS SIMPSON: Chase Simpson is the only West Virginia player to appear in all 36 games this season. The infielder leads the team with a .297 average and 17 RBIs. Simpson is also tied for the team lead with four home runs and his .421 on base percentage is also the best on the team and tied for second in the South Atlantic League

OVER THE LINE!: West Virginia committed five errors in Saturday's win over the Hagerstown Suns. It was the most errors the Power have had in a single game since they committed seven on April 13, 2013 in Asheville.

B-U-L-L-P-E-N SPELLS RELIEF: West Virginia's bullpen currently has an ERA of 2.62 whereas Power starters hold a 4.23 ERA. Last night was another successful night for the Power relievers as Nick Neumann didn't allow an earned run over 2.1 innings. However, he did allow his inherited runner to score.

TWO STREAKS ENDED: Pablo Reyes and Jordan Luplow's on-base streaks of 19 and 15 games, respectively, were vanquished in Saturday's victory after Reyes went 0-for-6 and Luplow went 0-for-4. Reyes' streak began in game one of the April 23 doubleheader and during those 19 games, Reyes hit .288 and had a .382 OBP. Luplow hit .245 during his 15-game streak streak and had a .405 OBP.
