GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Delmarva Shorebirds pounded the Greensboro Grasshoppers on Sunday afternoon for an 11-5 victory in the series finale. The Shorebirds (19-17) broke out offensively in the rubber match for the road series victory.

Back-to-back home runs by Greensboro briefly tightened the score in the fourth inning. Justin Twine hit a two-run opposite field home run, and Ryan Aper immediately followed with another shot over the right field fence.
With the lead down to 5-3, Delmarva immediately responded with a rally of their own. Another error sparked the fifth inning, and Elier Leyva capitalized with an RBI single.
