Wright-Foreman and Allen Net 30-Plus; Knicks Fall to Cruise

Westchester Knicks News Release
DETROIT, MI - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA G League affiliate of the New York Knicks, fell to the Motor City Cruise, 122-112, at Wayne State Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon.
Justin Wright-Foreman (returning rights) neared a triple-double with a career-high 41 points while shooting 59-percent from the field (16-27), 60-percent from three-point range (6-10), eight rebounds, and nine assists. Jordan Allen (available player pool) dropped 31 points along with tying a career high nine three-pointers made. Allen's nine threes were good for second-most in franchise history. Jalen Johnson (tryout) contributed 15 points and eight boards. Dmytro Skapintsev (tryout) added 11 points, while collecting a team-best 15 rebounds.
Jared Rhoden led the Cruise (16-14) with 25 points and shot 57-percent from the field (8-14), along with six rebounds. Jaylen Johnson secured a double-double with 17 points and 13 boards. Stanley Umude added 16 points while shooting 50-percent from three-point range (4-8). Reggie Perry delivered 14 points while shooting 78-percent from the field (7-9) and secured five rebounds.
The Cruise came out strong in the first quarter crediting a 15-3 run which began four minutes into the contest. After the opening period, the Cruise led 41-13. Westchester (9-20) diminished some of its disadvantage to as much as 17 with eight minutes left in the second quarter. The Knicks outscored the Cruise 33-31 in the second but faced a 74-48 deficit at the break.
The largest lead came in the third with the Cruise ahead by 31 with just over three minutes left. Westchester was able to keep pace and were only outscored by two, 103-75, at the end of the quarter.
The Knicks opened the fourth quarter on an uninterrupted 12-0 spark slicing the Cruise lead to 16. Westchester's momentum got it within 10 during the clutch window but the double-digit deficit stood for the game's remainder.
Monday, March 20, the Knicks take on the Motor City Cruise at Wayne State Fieldhouse at 7 PM ET.
