Las Vegas Wranglers News Release

Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers shut out the Colorado Eagles tonight for a 5-0 win and the team's second road win in a row.

Las Vegas took advantage on an early power play and went up 1-0 on the efforts of center Scott Campbell in the first five minutes of the game. Wranglers center Chris Francis netted the second goal of the night midway through the first, giving Las Vegas a 2-0 lead at the end of the frame.

Wranglers center Pete MacArthur capitalized on another early power play in the second, putting the team up 3-0 over the Eagles. League leader Eric Lampe scored his 33rd goal of the season for a 4-0 advantage, and Wranglers captain Mike Madill secured the 5-0 win with 25 minutes left in regulation.

For his third shutout of the season, Wranglers goaltender Joe Fallon stopped all 11 of the Eagles' shots in the third period, earning him a Three Star nod in tonight's match. Fallon has also played in the last 13 games for the Wranglers, going 9-3 during that stretch.

The Wranglers and Eagles finish their three-game series tomorrow night in Colorado at 6:05 p.m. The team returns home next weekend to take on the league-leading Alaska Aces on Thursday, Feb. 2.
