Reign Enforcer Comes Back to Ontario

ONTARIO, Calif.- The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings, announced that left wing Chris Cloud will return to Ontario after being released from his PTO with the Manchester Monarchs.

Cloud, 23, made his first AHL appearance with the Monarchs on Dec. 14 and continued to play with the club for a total of 10 games. The Waywayseecappo, Manitoba native recorded 19 penalty minutes in Manchester. The 5-foot-11, 186-pound winger returns to the Reign where in 23 games he tallied 10 points (5g, 5a) and 98 penalty minutes this season.

In his first professional season, 2009-10, Cloud played three games with the ECHL's Wheeling Nailers and made the move to the CHL to play for the Amarillo Gorillas recording 21 points (8g, 13a) and 102 penalty minutes in 56 games. During the 2010-11 season, Cloud remained in the CHL playing with the Tulsa Oilers for eight games and made the move to the Bloomington PrairieThunder posting 13 points (2g, 11a) and 103 penalty minutes.

Reign Drops: The Reign head to Bakersfield this weekend for a two-game series against the Condors at Rabobank Arena. The next home game is a State Farm 2-for-1 Tuesday against the Alaska Aces, the puck drops at 7:00 p.m. at Citizens Business Bank Arena.
