Game Preview: Express at Toledo Tonight
January 27, 2012 - ECHL (ECHL)
Chicago Express News Release
Preview: Chicago Express (17-16-5-2, 41pts) vs. Toledo Walleye (16-20-1-2, 35pts)
When: Puck drops at 6:00 pm
Where: Huntington Center, Toledo, OH
Tonight's Matchup:
After returning to the Sears Centre Arena on Wednesday, following a five-game road trip, the Express head right back on the road for tonight's contest against the Walleye. Chicago won the first three meetings between the two clubs, two of which were played in Toledo, but the Walleye have turned the ship around, winning five straight against the Express. Chicago is 3-5-1-0 against the Walleye this season, and tonight's game marks the final time the Express will visit Toledo in the regular season. The season series is not yet complete, however, as Toledo will come to the Sears Centre Arena four times between February 29 and March 25.
Express Notes:
The Express are playing just their fourth Friday night game on the road, and are currently 2-1-0-0 in Friday night road games... The Express have struggled to score against Toledo lately, as in their last five games against the Walleye they have scored a total of seven goals (1.4 goals per game)... G Peter Mannino has started five straight games for the Express, dating back to January 13 in Florida. He is expected to start for the Express again tonight.
