Wranglers Take Out Grizzlies 3-1

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Utah Grizzlies 3-1 in front of 4,422 fans on Friday night at the Orleans Arena. Forward Adam Miller broke a 1-1 tie just 8:11 into the third period, scoring his fourth goal in his last two games. Goalie Kevin Lalande stopped 31 of 32 Utah shots for the victory. Right wing Matt Beaudoin and left wing Mick Lawrence also scored as Las Vegas improved to 14-14-2 on the season. Forward Kelly Czuy dished out two assists in the win. The Wranglers host the Grizzlies at 7:30 PM on Saturday night.

Las Vegas opened the scoring 3:09 into the first period as Mick Lawrence scored his fifth goal of the season, giving the Wranglers a 1-0 lead. Utah answered back late in the period as Tom May evened the score 1-1. May scored his sixth goal of the season at 18:40 of the first period.

After a scoreless second period, Las Vegas took control by scoring a pair of goals in the final period. Center Adam Miller scored his seventh goal of the season at 8:11, giving the Wranglers the lead for good at 2-1. At 17:39, Matt Beaudoin scored his ninth goal in his last nine games. Beaudoin's 10th of the year completed the scoring at 3-1.

Las Vegas will conclude an eight-game home stand with Utah January 3rd at 7:30 PM.
