Las Vegas, Nev.-The Las Vegas Wranglers (21-10-3) defeated the Alaska Aces (21-12-2) 4-1 in front of 4,837 at the Orleans Arena. Justin Bernhardt had two goals and an assist in the win for Las Vegas. Maxime Tanguay had the lone Aces score. Joe Fallon won his 10th game and brought his record up to 10-7-1 stopping 27 of 28 Alaska shots. Gerald Coleman fell to 16-9-1 with the loss, turning aside 28 of 31 shots from the Wranglers.

The Aces got things going in the first period with a power play goal from Maxime Tanguay. Tanguay took a nice feed from Scott Howes and beat Fallon through the five-hole for his forth goal of the season at 10:12. Las Vegas answered back 47 seconds later when Ryan Huddy scored his team leading 18th goal of the year at the 10:59 mark. Chris Higgins and Ned Lukacevic each earned assists on Huddy's goal.

In the second period, the Wranglers took the lead at 8:41 with a goal from rookie Blake Gallagher. Justin Bernhardt and Colin Long set up the goal where Gallagher found himself open between the circles and blasted a slap shot paced Coleman. Las Vegas ended the second period ahead 2-1.

Justin Bernhardt added the insurance goal at 11:55 of the third period when he redirected a wrist shot from Ned Lukacevic. Colin Long also added an assist. Bernhardt scored his second goal of the period into an empty at 19:59 of the period. Blake Gallagher got the only assist on the goal which brought the game to a close with the final score of 4-1.

These same two teams will battle again at the Orleans Arena in a matinee start tomorrow afternoon at 2:05 pm.
