Countdown to Face-Off

For the second time in less than 24 hours, the Kalamazoo Wings will hit the road to face one of the top home teams in the ECHL, as the K-Wings travel to the North Charleston Coliseum to battle the South Carolina Stingrays.

Unbeaten in regulation in their last three games, the K-Wings are 2-1-1-0 heading into their fifth-leg of a season-high six-game road swing. On the season, the K-Wings are 8-7-2-2 in games away from Wings Stadium.

Idle yesterday, the Stingrays enter this afternoon coming off their first loss of 2011 on Friday versus Florida. So far in January, South Carolina owns a record 5-1-0-0. The Stingrays have been solid at home registering a league-tying best 14 victories.

Feels Like the First Time

Kalamazoo's 2-1 victory last night at Greenville marked the first time this season that the K-Wings have won a game without Kory Karlander registering a point. On the season, Kalamazoo is 1-9-0-1 in games Karlander doesn't earn a point.

Justin Credible

Last night, forward Justin Taylor recorded his third multi-goal performance of the season. The three-multi goal games by Taylor is most of any member of the K-Wings

The Goalie Guy

Ryan Nie did much more than stopped 30 shots yesterday to earn his 11th victory of season. Nie earned his first assist of the season on the K-Wings game-tying goal in the second period.
