
Wranglers Kelly and Wright Recalled to AHL

Las Vegas, NV- The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today forwards Justin Kelly and Doug Wright have been recalled to the American Hockey League. Wright will suit up tonight for the AHL's Chicago Wolves. Kelly will head to Massachusetts to play for the Lowell Lock Monsters.
Justin Kelly won the ECHL's C & T Hockey Products Plus Performer of the Month award for October. In the same month, Kelly also finished runner-up for the CCM ECHL rookie of the month award. The Abbottsford, BC native leads all Wranglers rookies in scoring with 12 goals and 11 assists for 23 points in 31 games. Kelly recently played in the 2004 Par-a-dice ECHL all-star game. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound winger leaves Las Vegas tied for second on the team with three game-winning goals. Kelly ranks third on the team with a +12 rating. This is Kelly's first call-up to the AHL.
Doug Wright will also get his first call-up to the AHL's Chicago Wolves. The Kamsack, SK native has nine goals and six assists for 15 points in 39 games. Wright is one of five Wranglers to play in every game of the 2003-04 season. Wright leaves as the team leader with four game-winning goals this season. Wright also racked up 78 penalty minutes in 39 games. The 23-year old is expected to play tonight in Chicago when the Wolves host the Utah Grizzlies at the All-State Arena.
Las Vegas heads to Fresno to take on the Falcons at 5:00 pm this Sunday. The Wranglers return home to the Orleans Arena on Tuesday, January 27th when they host the San Diego Gulls at 7:05 pm.
