Henkel Returns As Bullies Make Roster Moves

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. – The Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies of the ECHL have announced several roster moves in preparation for the opener of a two-game series with the Cincinnati Cyclones tonight to kick off the second half of the season. Highlighting those moves is the return of center Jim Henkel, who rejoins the Bullies after a three week stint with Worcester of the American Hockey League.

Henkel did not score in three games with the Ice Cats, and now has 2 goals and an assist in 18 games between Worcester and Grand Rapids. The 24-year old native of Hazlet, NJ has 9 goals and 7 assists in 16 games this season with the Bullies.

The Bullies have also placed rookie forward John Longo on the 7-day injured reserve with a strained hip-flexor muscle. Longo has been hot as of late with 5 goals and 9 points in his last 13 games.

Atlantic City has transferred rookie forward Eric Cavosie from the 7-day injured reserve to the 30-day injured reserve. Cavosie is scoreless in three games this season for the Bullies.

The Bullies battle the Cincinnati Cyclones at 7:30PM tonight at US Bank Arena and again tomorrow at 3PM. Catch both games live on ESPN Radio 1450AM and on the Surfer Network at www.boardwalkbullies.com beginning with "Bullies Pre- game" 20 minutes prior to face-off.

The Bullies commence their second-half home schedule at 7:05PM on Wednesday, January 28 against the first place Wheeling Nailers. Every Wednesday home game this season is a "Wild Wednesday" sponsored by Coors Light and Molson Canadian. All college students, casino workers, military, and service industry personnel get in for just $6 dollars. Also, enjoy a special beer and hot dog combo for just $4 dollars.
