Las Vegas Wranglers News Release
Las Vegas - The Las Vegas Wranglers won their fourth game in a row tonight with a 4-2 victory over the Colorado Eagles, taking control of fifth place in the ECHL's Western conference with 49 points.
Playing the world's first topless pro hockey game on "Over 18 Night," Wranglers goaltender Joe Fallon and Eagles goaltender Adam Brown held the score 0-0 through the first. Only 4:12 into the second, Wranglers forward Scott Pitt posted the first goal of the game, and forward Andrew Sarauer tallied a power play goal eight minutes later for the 2-0 lead. With 72 seconds left in the period, Sarauer hit the back of the net once again to make it a three-goal advantage for Las Vegas.
Late in the third, Colorado attempted a comeback with two goals in two minutes, both from defenseman Collin Bowman. The Eagles pulled Brown for the man advantage, and with five seconds left in the game, Wranglers right wing Sean Wiles recorded the empty-netter for the 4-2 win. With that win, the Wranglers won their fifth home game in a row, and fourth game in a row overall.
The Wranglers start a four-game road stretch Wednesday, Feb. 6, against the San Francisco Bulls. The team returns home on Friday, Feb. 15, to play a two-game home series against the Idaho Steelheads, including the Wranglers Midnight Circus on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 11:59 p.m.
Celebrating 10 seasons of Wranglers hockey this year, group events are available at all home games, including pre-game ice skating parties, private luxury suites, and rink-side catered party boxes. Groups of ten or more can sit together starting at $13 per ticket, and feature perks such as in-game group recognition and "buy one, get one free" Chuck-A-Puck vouchers.
