Greenville Swamp Rabbits News Release
Recap of Last Week
The Road Warriors finished up their six game road trip on Saturday. The final three games were played last week with two against the Orlando Solar Bears and one against the Florida Everblades. The week started with another shootout thriller against Orlando. Marc-Olivier Vallerand scored with 1.1 seconds left to force overtime and eventually a shootout victory by the score of 4-3. Prior to this game, the only meeting in Orlando was forced into shootouts by a Road Warriors' goal with 11 seconds left. That goal led to a Road Warriors' victory as well. Greenville lost a close game on Friday night in Orlando by a score of 3-2. The trip concluded on Saturday against the Everblades for the rubber game as the teams split wins the week before. The Road Warriors got the upper hand with a dominating 6-1 victory. Sean Berkstresser collected his first-ever four-point game with one goal and three assists. Danny Hobbs also tailed four points in the game; the second time this season he has accomplished that feat. Scott Stajcer won his eighth game of the year and stopped 44 of 45 shots; the most the Road Warriors have allowed this year.
